Back in early September, my cousin Amy took some lovely pictures of our family and I had a wonderful time putting them into a Shutterfly book with the Chalkboard Chic design by Paislee Press... What a treasure to have these pictures... I'm so thankful!

Another few images from our lovely, and I mean lovely, week away... That view of the trees... Well, let's just say that's the view from Jay's favourite spot, the hammock...

It's a big day here today... My baby, who's not really a baby anymore, goes to school for the first time today... I am so happy for her... She's been so eager and excited to go to school... And I am so thankful that we get to send her to a school we fully trust and believe in... Where the truth that we are teaching her at home, the truth of God's Word that she hears faithfully each week, will be honoured and affirmed... I'm amazed at how quickly the last four and a half years have passed... And I can hardly believe that today, I need to let her go a little... I'll miss my girl... But this is the beginning... The beginning of the roots and wings... And with that, I leave you with a few treasured images from our overnight getaway to Jay's parents cottage on Britain Lake...

A Little Bit of Pretty {Olivia}

It was a tough weekend here... On Thursday morning Livy woke up with a high fever... We attempted to keep it down all day Thursday with Tylenol and cool baths... By Friday afternoon, her temperature had exceeded 105... I called my doctor and we were told to take her straight to the ER... We spent six hours in the ER... It was a difficult six hours... They tried to take her blood for testing FOUR times... It was torture for her and in the end, they never did find a vein... They ruled out all the obvious things so we were sent home with no answers.. All day Saturday her temperature was still around 103... So we prayed... And the Lord heard our prayers, along with those of many others... Sunday morning, the fever finally broke... She's still recovering and getting back to normal... I'm thankful that she's finally fever free after more than three days... And thankful that it was just a virus and not something more serious! I've never been through anything like that with any of our girls before... And it was a good reminder to not take anything for granted... So today I leave you with one of the sweetest bits of pretty I know, our Livy!
Happy Birthday Jay!

I really love this man... These pictures show the truth of his life... That it's full of love and encouragement... And the girls and I get the benefit of it all! We are truly blessed!
So today, on your birthday Jay, I want to remind you of how much I love you... And thank you for being more of a husband and father than I could have ever asked for... For loving us all so much... For being faithful to the Lord in all things! Happy Birthday... I love you, love you, love you and pray the Lord continues to strengthen and bless you!
