{Handmade} First Birthday...

1.12.2009

It all started with this custom doll from "Ravenhill"...

On Sunday, Brennah will turn one... It's hard for me to believe... And I can't wait! I'm thrilled that she is growing... That's she's happy... That she's thriving... It's a little sad to say good-bye to the first year, but I have determined from the beginning to be a mother who sees joy, not sadness in the life of my little girl...

So... A few months ago I began to ponder her first birthday party... For those of you who know me, you'll know I'm a planner... And nothing thrills me more than planning a party for someone I love! I had purchased the doll for Brennah, thinking it would make a lovely Christmas gift... And one night, while searching on Etsy, I realized that Matryoshkas/Russian dolls/Nesting dolls were everywhere! And thus, the theme for Brennah's First Birthday Party was born...

After deciding this, I happened upon these lovely birthday invitations from one of my favourite shops, "Isabells Umbrella"...

And from there, it all fell into place quite nicely... Over the next week, I will share all of the lovely things that I found on Etsy to create a wonderful, handmade First Birthday Party... And next week, there will be pictures!
