Weekend Project {Vintage Plate Wall Display}

1.13.2012

I've been collecting antique and vintage china for years... My collecting began when my grandmother gave me her tea cup collection when I graduated from University... When we moved to the new house we had a huge open space on our kitchen wall... After some searching, I finally found a way to hang some of my favourite plates, many of which have been collected a thrift shops over the years... I purchased invisible adhesive discs from 'Dischangers'... And last weekend, we finally hung the plates... I'm so happy with the result!

Hues of Flatware...

1.24.2011

I'm on the hunt for new flatware... I purchased nice stainless steel flatware back at the end of December only to have it rust... Yes RUST two weeks later... The store took it back without any hassle... And now I'm looking for more... I have my eye on some... But let's just say, it would be an investment... Looking around, I discovered pretty flatware... In many colours... Have you ever seen such a thing?

August Tuesday's Inspiration: Sweet Silver...

8.24.2010

Last weekend, we visited our dear friends, Paul and Georgie in Sutton, a town about an hour north of Toronto... Georgie (who knows me well) took B and I to a lovely little shop full of a multitude of treasures... I've been wanting to start a collection of pieced together silver for some time now... I was so excited to find a lovely assortment of vintage silver forks and spoons and a few other things... They made for perfect photo subjects as well! Enjoy my friends...

And please, take the time to enter this week's giveaway with 'Sweet Harvey'
