Brennah Turns Three... The Party Girls

1.19.2011

We moved all the furniture out of our living room on Saturday to get ready for Brennah's third birthday party... Before our guests arrived, we had a lovely time taking some pictures of our pretty little girls... I know I'm a little biased, but aren't they cute?

Happy Birthday Brennah!

1.18.2011

Today, my first baby turns three... These past three years have been the best of my life... From the time I was a little girl, as cliche as it sounds, all I ever really wanted was to be a mother... It didn't come easy... And as I look back on the Lord's sometimes difficult providences for us on our journey to parenthood, I find such joy in realizing that He had Brennah, and Brennah only in mind for us... We needed her and she needed us... For those of you that know my little girl, you know how much she loves life... She is full of laughter, drama and joy... She truly lives life to the fullest... And she fills our lives with more happiness than I could ever have hoped for! Happy Birthday dear Brennah! We love you more than you will ever know and pray that the Lord will continue to bless you in the years to come!

Brennah Turns Three... The Party Plans

1.17.2011

This past Saturday, we had a lovely little birthday party for Brennah and 6 of her friends... I truly enjoying planning a party (and photographing ever detail)! And with little girls, tutus, dancing, lots of pink and ballerina cupcake toppers, this time was no different! Enjoy... And check back Wednesday for pictures of the birthday girl... I'm still pinching myself... Can she really be three?

I purchased a pale pink tutu for each of the girls, instead of giving out bags of candy and toys at the end of the party... They looked so sweet all dressed in their tutus!

Happy Weekend...

1.14.2011

We have a huge weekend ahead of us... On Tuesday, our sweet Brennah will turn THREE! I can hardly believe it... Tomorrow we have a dear friend coming to help out with the first of two birthday parties for Bren (The second will be next Saturday with family and a few close friends)... Brennah LOVES to dance... Caroline is a trained dancer... So some of Bren's little friends are coming for a party of dancing, tutus, macaroni & cheese, cupcake decorating and ballerina paperdolls... Then on Sunday afternoon, after church, we're heading to Niagara Falls for our first family of four getaway... We'll spend a few days, enjoying an indoor waterpark, celebrating three wonderful years with Brennah, and taking in a few of the *frozen* sights in Niagara Falls! I hope you all have as wonderful weekend as we're poised to have... I love my girls and I love celebrating more than almost anything else! Happy weekend!

The Book of Love...

1.05.2011

Last year, I committed to journalling more... I failed... Sometime in the fall, I thought that I would try to at least get a year's worth of thoughts on paper... To present to Jay as a Christmas gift... I wanted to give it to him, all finished, all 365 days, so he could take it to work and hold a year's worth of encouragement... I made it to the end of March, ran out of time and space, and gave that to him for Christmas... Turns out 365 days takes A LOT of time! So over the next few months, I intend on continuing, so that on March 31st, I can present him with April onwards... Here's a sneak peek into what I've finished so far... With scripture, hymns, quotes of love, snippets from the emails we sent while separated during our dating days, pictures of our wonderful life, and a few of my sentiments for him added here and there, I truly hope he'll love it as much as I loved making it!

Jounalling...

1.03.2011

This time last year, I resolved to journal... Not journal more, just journal. period. I'd like to say my will was strong... It wasn't... I made a few resolutions last year... And I kept a few of them... In late September, I decided that I wanted to create a journal of my thoughts for Jay... I wanted to make a book that would sit on his desk at work each day, offering him joy and encouragement in what can often be a difficult struggle... More on that book later this week... While I didn't journal for myself, I did put down many of my thoughts for my beloved husband... And this year, I resolve again, to get journalling...

And just a note: The blog playlist hasn't been working for quite some time and I had no idea as it was working just fine on my computer... So sad as I think the winter playlist is pretty sensational... I've attempted to fix it and it should be running smoothly... Please let me know if it's working for you... All you need to do is click on a song to begin the playlist! Hope you like!
