Life on Film {A Few Glimpses of Christmas}

1.05.2012

We had a lovely Christmas... It was busy with travel from family to family... Our Livy marked six weeks old on Christmas Eve as I marked 32 years... Ain't she sweet?

Weekend Project {Holiday Drinks}

12.23.2011

It's Christmas this weekend! There's still time to run out and gather the ingredients to make some delicious Holiday Drinks... I'm trying to settle on which one to make for our Annual Christmas Eve Gathering... I think any of them would taste just as good without the alcohol (which I will be skipping)... Just click on the image to view the recipe! And Merry Christmas!

From the Manger to the Cross...

12.21.2011

A beautiful reminder... That the manger led to the Cross... And the Cross led to the resurrection... And resurrection led to salvation, for all those who believe... That is my hope this Christmas!

Putting Up the Tree!

12.08.2011

This past Monday, we put up our Christmas tree! Quite an adventure with two toddlers and a tiny baby! But a joyful occasion none-the-less! Let the Christmas season begin!

The Book of Love...

1.05.2011

Last year, I committed to journalling more... I failed... Sometime in the fall, I thought that I would try to at least get a year's worth of thoughts on paper... To present to Jay as a Christmas gift... I wanted to give it to him, all finished, all 365 days, so he could take it to work and hold a year's worth of encouragement... I made it to the end of March, ran out of time and space, and gave that to him for Christmas... Turns out 365 days takes A LOT of time! So over the next few months, I intend on continuing, so that on March 31st, I can present him with April onwards... Here's a sneak peek into what I've finished so far... With scripture, hymns, quotes of love, snippets from the emails we sent while separated during our dating days, pictures of our wonderful life, and a few of my sentiments for him added here and there, I truly hope he'll love it as much as I loved making it!

Christmas at 'Colasanti's'...

12.30.2010

On the 28th, we met my dad's family at 'Colasanti's' for a delicious dinner... 'Colasanti's' has a special place in my heart... We spent many hours there when I was a child and as an adult, it's where Jay and I celebrated our wedding reception! The girls loved every second of our Christmas visit... From the petting zoo to the rides, it was a day that Brennah will be talking about for weeks!

A Few Christmas Favourites...

12.29.2010

We had a PERFECT Christmas... It really did... We celebrated my birthday on Christmas Eve (#31) and I received the beautiful flowers (pictured below) from dear friends... We spent Christmas morning alone with the girls and then traveled a bit to see family and friends... The girls reveled in all the time with their exciting cousins and Leah's walk is getting more and more confident... What more could a mother ask for? Just thought I'd share a few favourite photos... How was your Christmas my friends?

Merry Christmas!

 Adorn

I like to think there was a pause
I like to think there was a silence
When all the wind stopped blowing
All the trees bowed low
Sharing in a secret
There must have been a million stars
That must have shaken at the moment you arrived

How could the mountains stay standing
How could the rivers still run
Did the earth fall before you
How could our hearts be ready
To hold the Holy One
How could we ever adorn you

The voice of God in a baby's cry
Sometimes I wonder how it sounded
And all the angels listened
I bet they all came down
Wish I could hear that chorus
There must have been a million songs
Written at the very moment you arrived

How could the mountains stay standing
How could the rivers still run
Did the earth fall before you
How could our hearts be ready
To hold the Holy One
How could we ever adorn you

How do you clothe the one who hung the stars
Warm the hands that wrought the sun
And how do you lift a child in your arms
He who carries everyone

How could the mountains stay standing
How could the rivers still run
All the earth falls before you
How could our hearts be ready
To hold the Holy One
How could we ever adorn you
How could we ever adorn you
I like to think there was a pause
I like to think there was a silence...
