Another favourite shop that I love to browse regularly is "Oktak"... The shop houses a wonderful assortment of frame pouches, eye glass cases, and purses... And I just adore the vibrant, joyful prints that are chosen for these special pieces! Not only did the Christmas gift I purchased from "Oktak" arrive quickly, it was beautifully wrapped... Almost too pretty to give away!

I thought I would return to sharing a few of the wonderful Etsy shops from which I purchased Christmas presents this year... I still haven't bought a single present in a store... It's been wonderful... I will today... I need to purchase a dress shirt to match the stunning tie that I purchased for my dad for Christmas from the Etsy shop of "Toy Breaker"... Their silk screened ties are just amazing... The perfect gift for that hard to buy for man in your life! Not only are they unique, they arrive quickly and VERY nicely wrapped!

I can't believe how busy this week has been... I feel like I've been spinning my wheels a bit, but I've gotten there in the end... Tonight we're going out for a lovely dinner, kid-free, with our dear friends, Jon & Missy Ween... I'm truly looking forward to it!

New 'Studio' Chair...

For those of you following the 'studio' developments... We made two trips to two different Ikeas today to put my dream chair together... Bought the chair in Toronto and then travelled to Vaughan to get the desired cover... I now have my very own, comfortable and wonderful dream office... And it came in very handy... Yesterday was a record day for me... 35 Etsy sales and 1 large wholesale order... It's all been a bit of a dream I guess... Just waiting to wake up!

The doors have glass fronts... I definitely didn't want to see all the clutter, so I covered them with scrapbook paper, of all things, as it's the only thing that would work!
This is the clutter I was speaking of... It all fits very nicely... So glad I can close it away!
I can get over how much more productive I've been already... With a desk to sit at so I'm not constantly fishing for missing pieces in the couch cushions... What a dream!
Jay has the day off work tomorrow... So we're heading back to Ikea in search of a comfy chair to sit at as well as to purchase our first ever Wagler family LIVE Christmas tree! Can't wait!

Saturday was a very exciting day... We packed up Bren as early as we could get going and headed for one of my favourite places: "Ikea"... We were on the hunt for a desk... Since I began "The Ardent Sparrow" back in June, I've been doing all my work on the comfortable, but not ideal couch in our family room... I've been longing for a work space... Not only a place to sit, but also a place to close the work away and clear the clutter... So, after a bit of research, we set off to "Ikea" in search of the "Alve Sectretary" Desk... The main appeal for me was a place to put my computer as well as the fact that it closes to hide my 'mess'... All in all, it was a very successful trip... Brennah was fabulous, fell in love with her new stuffed toy, Fitz, and we bought a desk with two shelves (with fabulous doors) to sit on top! My loving and wonderful husband spent the rest of his coveted Saturday putting it all together...
