Weekend Project {Photobooks}
3.02.2012
Over the last few years, I've posted several of the photobooks I've created for our family here on the blog... I've had a few of you contact me, asking how I created these photobooks... I've been scrapbooking for years now... And I've always really enjoyed it... About three years ago, I began to wonder about using Photoshop to create digital scrapbooks... At the time, I had one little girl and another on the way, so the thought of creating on my computer and not taking up the amount of physical space that regular scrapbooking required was very appealing... I'm also a bit of a perfectionist and I love the flexibility of creating in Photoshop...
After a wee bit of searching, I found a lot of free resources out there to get me started... I learned how to use layers in Photoshop (this is a great tutorial on layered templates) and my first photobook of our trip to Paris was born! Of course, the free resources only got me so far so I began shopping at some of my favourite digital shops...
My top three favourite Digital Scrapbooking Shops:
3. The Lilypad
I create all my pages in Photoshop as psd files... When I'm completely happy with them, I flatten and save them as jpeg files... I've used both Blurb and Shutterfly to publish my photobooks... I upload each page as a jpeg and then fill the entire page with the single image...
If you don't have Photoshop (which is totally, totally worth the investment... It's used more than any other program on my computer!) Shutterfly offers some great options to create lovely photobooks with a scrapbooked look... Simply upload your photos and then drag and drop them!
I recently started designing my own line of digital scrapbooking papers and elements... My newest kit, Hanna is my favourite so far!

Life on Film {Olivia's First Month}
3.01.2012
Our little Olivia is nearly four months old now... And I've been meaning to post this for several weeks now... I've done a first month album for all three girls... This is the first one I've done digitally... And it was a lot of fun! It's such a joy to look back... At what was only a few months ago and yet it feels like Livy has been with us forever... It's amazing how quickly life changes... I can't remember what it was like when she wasn't here... Enjoy!
And don't forget to enter the giveaway for a print from 'Yellow Button Studio' yet?

About two weeks ago, I happened upon 'Yellow Button Studio' while browsing around Etsy... I've been looking for a print to hang in the girl's bathroom since we moved last May... And I was thrilled when I found THIS print in Jessie's shop... You see, not only will it look great with the pale blue & white of the bathroom, it's something we often say to the girls... And it's true... I do love them all, to the moon and back! I was excited to order it and in my communications with Jessie, she wondered about sponsoring a giveaway! How could I say no? I love the sentiments and the hand crafted look of Jessie's prints... And thus, a giveaway was born!
To enter the giveaway: Visit 'Yellow Button Studio' and come back here... Leave the name of your favourite print along with your email address for chance to win an 8x10 or 8.5x11 print of your choice from 'Yellow Button Studio'... Spread the word on Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter, and post the link in the comments... One winner will be randomly chosen on Friday evening... I'll be contacting the winner by email, so please be sure to leave a valid email address! Thanks to Jessie and have fun browsing her beautiful shop!Colour Amore {Pink, Yellow & Blue}

Weekend Project {Relax}
2.24.2012
This week really got away from me... I can't believe it's Friday! Monday was a holiday here... So I feel like somewhere along the way, I lost track of time! I've been busy potty training Leah, finishing up and listing my new digital scrapbooking line (did you have a chance to download my first freebie?), keeping two stir-crazy toddlers occupied, tending to an under the weather baby, and doing all the other usual things such as cooking, trying to keep the house somewhat tidy, breathing, eating, sleeping... My project for this weekend? Relaxing... It's been many weeks since we've had a Saturday with NO plans... That's right, nothing on the calendar!
I hope you too have a chance to catch your breath this weekend! Happy Friday!
P.S. Tune in for a lovely giveaway on Tuesday! So excited!

Life on Film {Valentine's Day}
2.23.2012
On a gloomy Valentine's Day, we made our own sunshine and celebrated with our favourite people... We made red and pink glitter cards for the daddies, enjoyed pink floats, pink heart shaped pancakes with red fruit, and listened to a Valentine's Day inspired playlist... It was perfect!

I've always enjoyed scrapbooking... About two years ago, I discovered the wonderful world of digital scrapbooking... I've been avidly creating photo books for my girls ever since! A few weeks ago, I began to wonder if I could create some of the types of kits I've been purchasing over the last few years... And so, my new venture was born... My first three digital kits are now complete and by the end of today, I hope to have all three kits listed in my Etsy shop! I'd LOVE to hear what you think!

2.16.2012
Despite the February blahs, time is really flying around here... I can hardly believe Olivia has been with us for three months now... She's a wonderful baby... A dream actually... Sleeping through the night for over a month now and just really content... We are truly blessed! Isn't she lovely?
